RWTH Aachen aims to become one of the leading and entrepreneurship-oriented universities of technology worldwide.
Due to its high profile in research, teaching, and continuing education, the University is uniquely positioned to foster and support technology-focused start-up companies.
RWTH Aachen – The University for Technology-Oriented Entrepreneurship
RWTH Aachen is committed to the support of entrepreneurship. Its strategy is based on four pillars:
University: The University management is committed to fostering an entrepreneurship culture. The promotion of entrepreneurship is one of the responsibilities of the Rector’s Office.
Faculties and Institutes: The faculties are equipped with administrative and human resources required to mobilize students and researchers and prepare them for entrepreneurial activities.
Transfer and Entrepreneurship Center: Consulting, support and funding through an Transfer and Entrepreneurship Center that integrates the new Aachen pre-seed fund and a new incubator.
Community and Network: Establishment and proactive involvement of a community of entrepreneurs and its integration in a network of relevant partners.
The initiative “RWTH Aachen - The University for Technology-Oriented Entrepreneurship” represents a holistic strategic approach for the future development of the University and the region.
The strategy builds on existing measures, is to be implemented University-wide, and provides a vision for the future development of the University and the region.
Partnering companies from various sectors support the Entrepreneurship Center in the provision of coachings, events, and a broad range of activities for students who are or want to become entrepreneurs. In turn, our partners receive comprehensive benefits in the areas of networking, innovation, information transfer, communication and recruiting.
